Writing Along The Way

I have been writing since I was a little girl. My mother kept some of my first poems I wrote in elementary school. It is so fun to look back at those things. I have kept a journal since I was 14 years old. Not a daily journal, just whenever the mood struck me to write. Getting married young and having four children kept me very busy over the years. I didn’t get to write as much as I would have liked to.

My first marriage ended in divorce many years ago and God led me out to Lancaster county to meet my present husband. He had lost his first wife to a brain aneurism at the age of 35. He had three young children when I married him so we were an instant big blended family of nine. We have been married for 16 years now and now have 5 grandchildren. My husband and I love God and want to be living examples of his love. We have both been through many trials. God has helped us grow stronger through them. Writing has helped me through them too. Writing has always been therapeutic for me.

My life is very full of birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, babysitting, crafting, and working between all the fun. My job has been in child care for the past twenty years but writing has always been a part of my life and I enjoy it very much. I have a plethora of experiences and memories to write about. Hopefully you will enjoy reading along with me as I write my blog pages.
